What You'll Do:

Foxen is looking for a Software Engineer that wants to work with significant autonomy in a small, entrepreneurial product driven team. As a team member, you'll have the opportunity to solve interesting problems to provide streamlined and efficient financial service solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing, enhancing, and constructing new and existing features using performant, scalable, secure, documented, and maintainable code

  • Build and maintain web apps and 3rd party integrations utilizing APIs and/or data mapping

  • Quickly produce well-organized, optimized, well-tested, and documented solutions

  • Collaborate with other Engineers and Operations to design and implement features

  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with teammates and other departments

  • Driven to be a part of a high performing team that operates with a mindset of collective code ownership

  • Meet deadlines and satisfy requirements

  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as iteration planning, retrospective, and daily standups

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field/experience

  • 5+ years relevant programming experience

  • Strong knowledge of OOP and reusable coding practices

  • Experience with serverless environments, microservices, and RESTful APIs

  • Full-stack expertise in multiple tiers of modern web applications

  • Experienced leveraging development practices such as unit testing, integration testing, proper code documentation, and appropriate logging to develop highly maintainable and reliable code

  • Practical experience with scrum, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and DevOps
